Wojtek Nowak, MS, MHA

Chief Executive Officer
Wojtek Nowak, MS, MHA, is the Chief Executive Officer for Meritage Medical Network. Mr. Nowak joined Meritage in January of 2016. He brings over 20 years of broad healthcare management experience, encompassing: finance, operations, contracting as well as strategy and business development. He has worked successfully with Medical Groups, IPAs, and large integrated healthcare systems in both southern and northern California.
Prior to Meritage, Mr. Nowak worked with Sutter Health as Chief Financial Officer for East Bay Medical Foundation and Sutter Bay Division Revenue Cycle Leader.
Mr. Nowak earned graduate-level business degrees from the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
Prior to Meritage, Mr. Nowak worked with Sutter Health as Chief Financial Officer for East Bay Medical Foundation and Sutter Bay Division Revenue Cycle Leader.
Mr. Nowak earned graduate-level business degrees from the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.

Mark Sockell, MD

Chief Medical Officer
Mark Sockell is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Meritage Medical Network. Dr. Sockell is a practicing internist and geriatrician in Novato. He joined Meritage as a physician leader in 2014 and became CMO in 2016. As CMO, Dr. Sockell works with Meritage physicians and administrative leadership on improving quality, documentation, and developing clinical programs to improve patient care.
Prior to Meritage Dr. Sockell spent much of his career in medical education and managing safety net clinics at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco and Valley Medical Center in San Jose. As Director of Education at St. Mary's Medical Center he founded and directed the Inpatient Hospitalist program. Dr. Sockell earned his Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He then completed his Internship at the Boston VA, Jamaica Plains Boston, MA, and his Residency at the University of California, San Francisco.

J. David Andrew, MD

Dr. J. David Andrew is the Medical Director for Meritage Medical Network. Dr. Andrew joined Meritage over twenty years ago, and has held the position of Medical Director for many of those years. His leadership and guidance has been instrumental in company growth and success. Dr. Andrew specializes in family medicine, and has over forty years of experience in his field.
Prior to Meritage, Dr. Andrew served as Medical Director for Ross Valley Medical Clinic from 1984 – 1989. He has been an active staff member with Marin General Hospital since 1977, and received recognition for his outstanding achievements when Marin Magazine awarded him Top Doctor in 2014.
Dr. Andrew earned his medical degree from Dalhousie University, in Canada, and completed his Internship with St. Paul’s Hospital, University of British Columbia, in Vancouver.

Marcy Norenius, MPH

Chief Strategy Officer
Marcy Norenius, MPH is the Chief Strategy Officer for Meritage Medical Network. Ms. Norenius has been with Meritage Medical Network for nearly 15 years in various roles, including strategic planning and implementation, oversight of ACO programs, advertising, public relations, and brand, credentialing, physician & partner relations. While Meritage provided management services to Prima Medical Group Ms. Norenius was also responsible for physician recruitment, quality improvement programs, and practice management oversight.
Ms. Norenius earned a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Tulane University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Linda J. Chotkevys

Chief Administrative Officer
Linda J. Chotkevys is the Chief Administrative Officer for Meritage Medical Network, having joined Meritage in 2014. She has responsibility for Human Resources, Compliance, Risk Management, Facilities, Safety, Security, and Internal Communications. She has over 25 years of senior leadership experience in Healthcare related organizations, having consulted with and worked for Medical Groups, large integrated healthcare delivery systems, foundations, bio-medical research facilities and now, an independent physician association. In addition to her current areas of responsibility, Ms. Chotkevys previously served as an affirmative action officer and director for employee health services and an Employee Assistance Program, with a behavioral health emphasis. Ms. Chotkevys has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, with a minor in Business, from San Diego State University and has completed post-baccalaureate coursework and studies in psychology and business.

John Nowak

Janusz J. Nowak, MS, MBA, is the Chief Information Officer for Meritage Medical Network since January 2020. He brings 25 years of information technology management experience from some of the largest US & international healthcare, telecom, cable & media companies; with an extensive track record delivering Digital Transformation and leading-edge programs. He is successful in building and motivating high-performance IT teams, driving innovation and taking ownership & accountability.
Prior to Meritage, Mr. Nowak worked for 18 years in one of the largest global cable/media companies; Liberty Global Inc, as its CIO of the CEE region covering 6 countries.
Mr. Nowak earned a Master’s degree of Science from University of Economics in Katowice, Master’s degree of Business Administration from SGH Warsaw School of Economics and an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
Prior to Meritage, Mr. Nowak worked for 18 years in one of the largest global cable/media companies; Liberty Global Inc, as its CIO of the CEE region covering 6 countries.
